Dear Editor,

This month an investigation by Live Action unveiled seven different Planned Parenthood clinics in four different states willing to aid and abet the sex trafficking and exploitation of girls as young as 14.

Rep. _____ recently voted ___[FOR/AGAINST]___ an amendment to the federal budget ending taxpayer subsidies of Planned Parenthood.  Last year, Planned Parenthood received over $360 million in taxpayer funding, despite the fact that they have reported over $63 million in profits.  With the help of the American taxpayer, Planned Parenthood performed over 650,000 abortions in 2008-09.

The evidence – available in its complete form at www.liveaction.org – reveals that Planned Parenthood is not a safe place for young girls and women. From turning a blind eye to sex trafficking to proactively offering ways to skirt the law, Planned Parenthood is an endemically corrupt organization.

There are nearly 7,000 Federally Qualified Health Centers around the country that provide affordable and more comprehensive health care for children and adults.  It is time to end taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.
