Live Action and Students for Life of America Release Winners of “Tell Congress” Video Contest

Arlington, VA- After receiving dozens of videos from youth across the country explaining why Congress should de-fund Planned Parenthood, Live Action and Students for Life of America announced TODAY the winners of their “Tell Congress” YouTube Video Contest.

The “Tell Congress” contest was open to all high-school and college-age youth (14 to 25). Contestants were urged to use creativity in addressing Congress and explaining why they should de-fund Planned Parenthood.

Students for Life, Live Action, & Expose Planned Parenthood Coalition Launch Unprecedented Grassroots Social Media Campaign

Arlington, VA- Last night, Students for Life along with the members of the Expose Planned Parenthood Coalition launched a massive grassroots social media campaign on a critical webcast last night to federally de-fund Planned Parenthood. By launching a grassroots campaign on the coalition website and using the newest pro-life grassroots mobilizer, AbolishAbortion.com, the Coalition will be engaging pro-lifers of all ages to organize, unite, and activate online. Abolishabortion.com will allow users to register on the site and link their Facebook and Twitter accounts with the “Status 365:” feature. This feature will automatically change the user’s Facebook or Twitter status message once per day with a fact about why America should de-fund Planned Parenthood. In addition, the first-of-its-kind, site allows pro-lifers to post/find events in their community, sign/create their own pro-life petitions, find a pro-life job, and interact with other pro-lifers though commentary.

In the addition, the Expose Planned Parenthood Social Media Campaign features sample status messages, a Facebook/Twitter profile icon picture, and an unique ticker that shows the number of preborn children aborted by Planned Parenthood and federal dollars spent by the organization by the second. Live Action, the new media pro-life group responsible for recent undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood aiding and abetting child sex trafficking, has teamed up with Students for Life of America, the nation’s largest pro-life youth organization, to launch a pro-life YouTube video contest for youth who want show why Congress must de-fund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.

The “Tell Congress” contest is open to all high-school and college-age youth (14 to 25). Video entries must be under 5 minutes long and should explain why Congress must de-fund Planned Parenthood of its $363 million in taxpayer subsidies. The deadline for entry is Monday, March 7th at midnight. The top video will win a $1000 prize, a runner-up will receive $500, and third prize will receive a Survivors Pro-Life Training Camp Scholarship ($400 value).

“America’s youth see the corruption inside Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry,” said Live Action President Lila Rose. “Visual media is a powerful tool to expose the injustice of abortion and Planned Parenthood’s aiding and abetting of sex trafficking to its violent destruction of the ultimate victim of abortion, the unborn child. Nationwide Vigil to Stop Taxpayer Funding of Planned Parenthood

February 24, 2011 – From coast to coast this Friday, February 25, grassroots vigils will take place outside the district offices of Members of Congress around the country to pray that Planned Parenthood would be stripped of federal tax dollars. Activists are praying that Representatives and Senators will vote to defund Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in the U.S. and one that turns a blind eye to sex trafficking and exploitation of young girls.

On Friday, February 25^th from 12:00 – 1:00 PM local time, people of faith and good conscience will gather peacefully in prayer outside their respective Representative and Senator offices before they return to Washington next week. Of the Members who voted to cease funding last week, prayers of support and encouragement will be lifted to prioritize the Pence Amendment as a non-negotiable in the upcoming Congressional conference committee. Of those who wish to continue using tax dollars to fund Planned Parenthood, prayers of conversion will be lifted.

“Washington must understand that the Pence Amendment is absolutely non-negotiable,” stated Lila Rose, President of Live Action. “We stand with the Members who recognize the gravity of prioritizing this Amendment and the vulnerable children and young girls that lie in the balance. New undercover Live Action footage from inside a Bronx, NY Planned Parenthood clinic for the first time shows a Planned Parenthood Supervisor/Practitioner willing to assist a man posing as a pimp, even offering guidance on how the pimp’s underage girls can get insurance through tax payer funded programs to pay for abortions and other services even if the underage girls that are not U.S. citizens.

Planned Parenthood Supervisor/Practitioner: I’m one of the practitioners here.

Pimp: Oh, ok. I was wondering, uh, do you have a moment?

Planned Parenthood Supervisor/Practitioner: Mhm

Pimp: I was wondering, um, so like is this still confidential?

Pimp: We have some girls that are kind of young like, 14, 15, that they might need an abortion-

Pimp: They don’t have insurance, some don’t even speak that good of English ‘cause you know, they just got here.

Planned Parenthood Supervisor/Practitioner: Right. So we have an interpretation phone, so if they don’t speak Spanish that’s not a problem. I mean if they don’t speak English that’s not a problem cause we can have an interpreter

This is the sixth set of full footage released from Live Action’s current ongoing investigation into Planned Parenthood. This latest reel of footage uncovers what organization President, Lila Rose, calls an “institutional crisis in which Planned Parenthood is willing to assist sex trafficking and exploitation of minors and young women.”

Live Action has released numerous videos over the past three years offering compounding evidence that Rose says, “unequivocally shows that Planned Parenthood is unsafe and puts underage girls and young women in harm’s way.”

“Planned Parenthood has shown repeatedly for the past three years of our investigation that they are willing to aid and abet the sexual exploitation of minors and young girls, even girls as young as 13 and here illegally, all under a sick code of ‘confidentiality.’ For Planned Parenthood, this ‘confidentiality’ supersedes a zero tolerance for sex trafficking and exploitation of minors and young women,” Rose said.

Last week, Live Action released raw footage of five Planned Parenthood clinics, one in New Jersey and four in Virginia, all revealing employees willing to counsel a self-identified sex-trafficker on how to obtain STD testing, birth control and abortions for underage girls that he “manages” in “sex work.”

“Today, we are making full footage and transcripts available to New York law enforcement officials and we are calling upon New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to launch a formal investigation as has been done in New Jersey by Attorney General Paula Dow. This footage shows that underage girls and young women are at potentially grave risk when they walk into Planned Parenthood clinics,” Rose said.

Pimp: Cool!

Planned Parenthood Staffer: But nothing here, like, our patients, we don’t ask for guardian’s signature. Everything is the patient. Like a thirteen-year-old could come in and get the services she needed, by herself.

Pimp: So, how would you recommend for them best to do it? Cause we don’t want them getting confused or what not, and it’s kind of a sensitive subject, so we don’t want you know, them saying the wrong thing, you know getting refused or turned away, so how would you suggest they go about you know being able to get the access even in spite of what they do, you know?

Planned Parenthood Staffer: Yeah, like, like I said everything’s confidential, they don’t have to tell anybody what it is that they do when they make the an appointment, it’s just gonna be between them and the Physician they see.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) slammed Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) for deploying far left-wing sites in an attempt to smear Lila Rose, whose undercover videos released this week revealed criminal activity at several clinics. The videos, showing employees of clinics in New Jersey and Virginia aiding and abetting in alleged human sex trafficking and prostitution of female minors, have sparked outrage and a call to strip the organization of public funds.

“Out of fear and desperation, Planned Parenthood and its president, Cecile Richards, have unleashed their attack dogs to distract from their unsafe and exploitive practices,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA List. “Ms. Richards has no concern about the organization’s documented and systemic willingness to aid and abet sex trafficking of minors, which tells us much about Planned Parenthood and their real agenda.

“Instead of answering questions about its protracted pattern of illicit activities, illustrated in this latest string of videos, Planned Parenthood has lashed out at the messenger.

“At its core, Planned Parenthood and its clinics are not safe for women, for children and for the public at large. American taxpayers should not be funding this organization that engages in potential criminal activity.”

The Susan B. Anthony List and a coalition of pro-life groups have mobilized grassroots activists across the country to press Congress to end federal funding of the abortion industry. On Thursday, their new website, www.ExposePlannedParenthood.com, hosted a webcast that drew more than 40,000 viewers.

The first undercover video, released Tuesday, is one of the latest in a series of more than a dozen previous Live Action sting operations coordinated by 22-year old Lila Rose and her investigative team. Footage shows a clinic manager conspiring with a man posing as a pimp to secretly secure STD testing, contraception and access to abortion services for his prostitutes, as young as 14 years old, despite their age and enslavement. On Thursday morning, Live Action released a second video depicting similar violations at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Richmond, VA.

The Susan B. Anthony List spent $11 million during the 2010 midterm election cycle. Overall, the SBA List was involved in 90 races including 62 wins and 28 losses. Successes included: defeating 15 of 20 so-called “pro-life” Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care reform bill; increasing the number of pro-life women in the House by 70 percent; filling the void of pro-life women in the U.S. Senate and increasing the number of pro-life women governors from one to four.

Following yesterday’s shocking revelation of video from a Richmond, Va. Planned Parenthood investigation, Live Action (www.liveaction.org) today released undercover footage from three more Virginia Planned Parenthood clinics – in Falls Church, Charlottesville and Roanoke – which clearly show staff willing to aid and abet the sexual trafficking and exploitation of minors and young women. Following the release of video earlier this week from clinics in New Jersey and Richmond, Va., this latest footage provides more evidence of a clear, disturbing pattern of gross misconduct by Planned Parenthood.

“It is utterly disgusting that Planned Parenthood’s response to this is that their employee reacted ‘professionally,’” said Live Action President Lila Rose. “The only acceptable response to encountering a self-identified sex-trafficker of underage girls is zero tolerance.

The only ‘professional’ response is to immediately call law enforcement to the scene and push for an arrest. Our investigation – and their response – continues to show that an institutional crisis has engulfed the highest levels of Planned Parenthood. If you’re a sex-trafficker of minors or young women, you have a partner in Planned Parenthood. But if you are a minor or a young woman, you are not safe at Planned Parenthood clinics,” Rose continued.

The footage shows a man who identifies himself as a pimp working with underage girls. He seeks assistance for getting abortions, STD testing and birth control for girls he “manages” as sex workers, who are from out of the country and as young as 14 to 15 years old. The investigation continues to unearth alarming evidence that Planned Parenthood, which receives more than $350 million from the American taxpayer every year, is willing to facilitate the sexual exploitation of minors and young women.

“Today, we are sending Attorney General Cuccinelli and Virginia law enforcement officials new, disturbing footage from three Virginia clinics. The footage explicitly shows Planned Parenthood staff willing to engage in activity that sexually exploits minors and young women. The evidence continues to mount, and shows a clear pattern where Planned Parenthood is willing aid and abet the sex-trafficking industry. These are abhorrent practices and it is time Planned Parenthood be held accountable,” Rose said.

Falls Church – Abortions for underage girls from other countries only require a photo ID.Planned Parenthood staffer: “We don’t necessarily look at the legal status, like I said. Abortion appointments do require photo ID. It’s nothing as far as records. It’s just photo ID that’s ever going to be required.”
Roanoke – Birth control and STD testing for underage prostitutes is no problem Planned Parenthood staffer: “From the age of 12 up, for birth control, you can just come in and do that. You don’t have to have a parent, OK?”Planned Parenthood staffer discussing STD testing: “And the thing is, see this is the thing a lot of people don’t know that. . .Right, through the Health Department. And so, they’ll uh, they’ll track it. And they’re discreet. They’re confidential. They, you know, don’t tell people what’s going on, because – frankly – it’s nobody’s business.”
Charlottesville – Birth control and testing for STDs and pregnancy for underage girls with no questions asked. Planned Parenthood staffer: “Anybody here can help you. Everything here is confidential. We can’t give any information out.”

NEW JERSEY, Feb. 2–Less than a day after an undercover video showed Planned Parenthood clinic manager Amy Woodruff coaching a pimp and a prostitute how to keep their underage sex trafficking business secret, Planned Parenthood has fired Woodruff. Planned Parenthood had originally claimed that Woodruff reported the incident to Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey the same day of the actors’ visit.

In a statement released Tuesday morning, Stuart Schear, Vice President for Communications for Planned Parenthood national, claimed that the video did not in fact depict a cover-up of sexual abuse and trafficking, because, “As soon as these visits were over, Planned Parenthood employees immediately reported to Planned Parenthood management.” But by Tuesday night, Planned Parenthood Central New Jersey CEO Phyllis Kinsler had released a statement saying, “We were profoundly shocked when we viewed the videotape this morning, which depicted an employee of one of our health centers behaving in a repugnant manner that is inconsistent with our standards of care and is completely unacceptable,” and notified the press that Woodruff had been terminated.

Planned Parenthood had also originally suggested that the undercover video was a “hoax” and an “edited tape” before firing Woodruff. New Jersey Attorney General Paula Dow also released a statement on the video Tuesday evening saying, “At first glance, I find these allegations to be very disturbing.” Dow has asked the Division of Criminal Justice to investigate the matter.

“It appears that Planned Parenthood decided to fire Ms. Woodruff over a ‘hoax.’ Or, maybe they are coming to the realization that they have a serious problem brewing,” Rose stated.

“Soon, we will be releasing more evidence to law enforcement officials and the public showing that Planned Parenthood is willing to aid and abet sexual exploitation of minors and young women. As our research and evidence will show, this is not only a problem for one clinic in New Jersey — it is much broader and more endemic,” Rose said.

“These practices are putting minors and young women in harms way — all paid for by the American taxpayer,” Rose concluded.

Anthony List (SBA List) and a coalition of state and national pro-life organizations including Live Action, Students for Life of America, Family Research Council, AUL Action, 40 Days for Life, Concerned Women for America and New Jersey Right to Life, launched a grassroots campaign and online action center atwww.ExposePlannedParenthood.com to lobby Members of Congress to defund Planned Parenthood. The efforts come in response to undercover footage released yesterday showing Planned Parenthood of New Jersey aiding and abetting in alleged human sex trafficking and prostitution of female minors.

The website provides a venue for pro-life grassroots activists to urge their Representatives to support the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act aiming to defund Planned Parenthood of the more than $350 million dollars it receives annually under Title X family planning funds. The website will encourage e-mails, phone calls and visits to local Congressional offices and coordinate a national letter to the editor campaign.

“If there is a point where we can say ‘this is too much,’ this is it,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “The horror exposed in the video released yesterday was not an isolated incident in the history of a group willing to be a chief ally in the exploitation of women and girls. The unbroken chain of Planned Parenthood’s violations is appalling. Yet, this organization insists that it deserves taxpayers’ continued support. The moment for taxpayers to reject their compulsory funding of the exploitation of women has arrived. If this organization doesn’t shut down its gruesome business altogether, it should at least operate on its own dime. The SBA List and other groups in this coalition are calling upon pro-life America to contact their Representatives and urge them to support the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act. Planned Parenthood must be defunded.”

The “Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act,” sponsored by Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), was introduced on January 7, 2011 and would ensure that tax dollars are not sent to abortion providers under Title X family planning grants.

The undercover video, released yesterday, is the latest in a series of more than a dozen previous Live Action sting operations coordinated by 22-year old Lila Rose and her investigative team. Footage shows a clinic manager conspiring with a man posing as a pimp to secretly secure STD testing, contraception and access to abortion services for his prostitutes, as young as 14 years old, despite their age and enslavement.

Caught on Tape: Planned Parenthood Aids Pimp’s Underage Sex Ring

NEW JERSEY – February 1, 2011– A Planned Parenthood manager in New Jersey coaches a man and a woman posing as sex traffickers how to secure secret abortions, STD testing, and contraception for their female underage sex slaves, and make their whole operation “look as legit as possible” in an undercover video released this morning.

Clinic manager Amy Woodruff, LPN, of Planned Parenthood Central New Jersey’s Perth Amboy center, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws, promising, “even if they lie, just say, ‘Oh he’s the same age as me, 15,’…it’s just that mainly 14 and under we have to, doesn’t matter if their partner’s the same age, younger, whatever, 14 and under we have to report.” She says, “For the most part, we want as little information as possible.”

Woodruff also recommends how the pimp can get his prostitutes cheaper contraception by claiming they are “students”: “If they’re minors, put down that they’re students. Yeah, just kind of play along that they’re students–we want to make it look as legit as possible.”

If one of the young trafficked girls needs an abortion, Woodruff refers the pimp and prostitute to the Metropolitan Medical Association, where “their protocols aren’t as strict as ours and they don’t get audited the same way that we do.” The prostitute in the video asks how long after the abortion until the girls can have sex again, and when Woodruff says “minimum of 2 weeks,” she asks what sex acts the girls could still do to make money. Woodruff advises, “Waist up, or just be that extra action walking by” to advertise sex to potential clients.

Sex trafficking is punishable under federal law and carries a potential life sentence. The new video is released by Live Action, a pro-life new media organization led by 22-year-old Lila Rose. The video airs just days after Planned Parenthood’s leadership suspected the sting operation and sought an FBI probe of Live Action in order to deter the release of the exposé. Live Action is sending full footage to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, NJ Attorney General Paula Dow, officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and other law enforcement officials, requesting federal and state investigations into Planned Parenthood’s sexual abuse and sex trafficking cover up.

“This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Planned Parenthood intentionally breaks state and federal laws and covers up the abuse of the young girls it claims to serve,” said Lila Rose, President of Live Action. “Time and time again, Planned Parenthood has sent young girls back into the arms of their abusers.
