“The recently released undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood employees offering assistance to individuals identifying themselves as “sex work” managers employing underage girls are disturbing — exposing the dark side of the organization all Americans need to see.

In the videos, Planned Parenthood employees explain how underage girls can get around parental consent laws to get an abortion, how they can get around other reporting requirements by claiming to be a different age, and even ways the underage girls can continue making money in the sex trade while recovering from an abortion.

Planned Parenthood is one of the largest recipients of federal funds under Title X and as such is accountable to taxpayers for their actions. Planned Parenthood received over $363 million taxpayer dollars between 2008 and 2009 and during the same time period performed 324,008 abortions. This funding needs to end now.

I have already signed onto the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act which would deny federal funding to Planned Parenthood, but the release of these videos highlights the urgent need for this legislation today. We must stop this reprehensible abuse of taxpayer funds NOW.”
